Homework
- Students should read at least 20 minutes each night. They will log their reading in their student agenda each week. A parent/guardian will verify reading by initialing or signing the agenda. Tip - Some children like to read before bed as a way to relieve stress and relax before falling asleep.
- Students will have a Home Link (math assignment) each night as well. Tip -Support for the Home Links page can be found on the Family Letter that is sent home at the beginning of each math unit.
- Students should be spending about 45 - 60 minutes on homework each night. Time spent with family, experiencing other activities, and enjoying down time are all important for young children. If a child has difficulty with an assignment; they do not need to struggle for a lengthy period of time, a parent can put a note on that assignment and support will be given when the child returns to school.
